Gas Line Installation
New gas runs come up with outdoor kitchens, fire pits, pool heaters, generators and appliance conversions. All of it is permitted, inspected and pressure-tested work.

When to call
Much of what we replace was installed correctly, to the code of its day, and has simply reached the end of a long life.
These are the symptoms that usually prompt the call. Any one of them is worth a conversation, and most of them get cheaper to deal with the earlier they are looked at.
Adding an outdoor kitchen or fire feature
A pool or spa heater
A standby generator
Converting an appliance from electric to gas
Extending gas to a shop or addition
Small failures announce themselves quietly and then stop being small. The window where it is cheap to fix is usually early.
Knowing the difference between a line that needs clearing and a line that needs replacing saves people a great deal of money.
Size the run for the load
Length and appliance demand determine pipe size. Undersized gas lines starve appliances.
Check the meter can supply it
Adding load to a meter already near capacity is a real constraint and better known before the work.
Install to code
Correct material, supports, protection and shutoffs.
Pressure test and inspect
Proven before anything is connected and used.
Sometimes the right recommendation is the cheap one. A shop that has been in one family for four decades cannot afford a reputation for anything else.
Load is the thing to establish before anything else. Every gas appliance on a property draws from the same meter, and adding a pool heater, a generator or an outdoor kitchen to a system already near its limit will starve everything on it. We calculate total connected load first. Sometimes the answer is a larger line, sometimes a meter upgrade from the utility, and it is much better to know that at quoting time.
Pressure testing, acoustic listening and thermal imaging all get used regularly here, because slab construction makes hidden leaks a routine part of the work.
The territory we cover spans three counties, which is a practical consequence of having been the plumber people call here since 1982. If you are outside the usual radius, call and ask. We cover more ground than most shops our size.

Watch your water bill. A bill that climbs without a change in habits is often the only warning a hidden leak will give you before the damage shows.
Knowing your own system is worth real money. Where the main shutoff is, where the sewer cleanout is, how old the water heater is, and whether the property is on sewer or septic. Those four facts shorten every future service call you will ever have.
Know the age of the major components. Water heaters, supply piping and sewer laterals all have expected lifespans, and planning for a replacement is considerably cheaper than reacting to one.
Wipes should not go down any drain, whether the packet says flushable or not. They do not break down, and they are behind a large share of the main line blockages we clear.
We run a genuine 24-hour line rather than an answering service that takes a message until the morning.
Big Mike founded this company in 1982 and ran it the way he wanted to be treated. When he stepped down he handed it to his family, Megan Cortez, Saul Cortez and Jimilee Allen, because he trusted them to give people the same service he had. That is still who runs it and still who answers the phone.
Carrying plumbing, sanitation and general engineering licensing is what lets us say yes to the jobs other shops split between two contractors.
We will tell you what is wrong, what it takes to fix, and what happens if you wait. Then it is your call.

If yours is not here, call and ask. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.
Yes. Gas work is permitted and inspected, and we handle that as part of the job.
Sometimes yes, sometimes it needs an upgrade from the utility. We check total load before quoting.
Most residential runs are a day or two plus inspection, depending on length and access.
Yes, with correct burial depth, materials and protection. It is routine work done properly.
We run a 24-hour line and same-day service is normal. When you call we will give you a realistic window rather than an optimistic one that slips.
If it is actively causing damage or has made the property unusable, treat it as one and call. Water through a ceiling, sewage backing up and any gas smell all qualify.
Know where your main water shutoff is and whether it turns. Clear access to the work area. If you smell gas, leave the building and call from outside.
Regularly. We coordinate around construction schedules, tenant access and operating hours as a matter of course.
Residential plumbing is one connected system, and problems in it rarely stay in their own lane. A drainage fault shows up as a smell in a bathroom; a pressure problem shows up as a water heater that seems weak. Part of diagnosing any single symptom is understanding what else in the house it touches, which is why we tend to ask questions that sound unrelated to the thing you called about.
For commercial properties, tell us about access requirements and operating hours when you call so we can schedule around them properly.
