Emergency Plumbing

Emergency Plumbing

An emergency is anything that is actively causing damage or has made the property unusable. Water coming through a ceiling, sewage backing up into a tub, a gas smell, a supply line that will not stop. Those calls get a truck moving.

When to call

What usually brings people to this

Inland Empire water is hard, and hard water is the quiet reason water heaters here give out earlier than the sticker claims.

(909) 888-8736

These are the symptoms that usually prompt the call. Any one of them is worth a conversation, and most of them get cheaper to deal with the earlier they are looked at.

  • Water coming through a ceiling or wall

  • Sewage backing up into tubs, showers or floor drains

  • A gas smell anywhere on the property

  • A supply line or water heater that will not stop leaking

  • No water at all to the building

Water finds its way into structure, insulation and flooring long before anybody sees it, which is what makes early diagnosis worth so much.

How we work it

Diagnosis first, always. Digging before you know where the problem is how a small repair becomes a large one.

See our work

  1. Call and tell us what it is doing

We will often tell you what to shut off before we are on the road. Knowing where your main shutoff is saves more damage than anything else you can do.

  2. We stop the damage first

Containment comes before diagnosis. Getting the water or gas under control is the priority.

  3. Then we find the cause

Once it is stable we work out what failed and why, and what it will take to put it right.

  4. Repair now, plan the rest

Some emergencies need a permanent repair on the spot. Others need a sound temporary fix and a scheduled return.

Worth knowingWhat emergency plumbing actually involves

The number you approve is the work we do. If something changes once we are into it, we stop and talk to you first.

The first minutes of an emergency matter more than anything that happens later. Knowing where your main water shutoff is, and whether it actually turns, is the single most useful piece of preparation any property owner can do. We get called to houses where nobody could find the valve and the water ran for another twenty minutes while they looked. If you do not know where yours is, find it before you need it, and turn it a quarter turn once a year so it does not seize.

Our equipment is chosen around not having to guess, because guessing is what produces unnecessary work and surprised customers.

The territory we cover spans three counties, which is a practical consequence of having been the plumber people call here since 1982. If you are outside the usual radius, call and ask. We cover more ground than most shops our size.

Keeping it from happening again

Water finds its way into structure, insulation and flooring long before anybody sees it, which is what makes early diagnosis worth so much.

  • If you have had a line cleared more than once, ask for a camera inspection rather than a third clearing. Repeated blockages nearly always have a physical cause worth finding.

  • Water heaters benefit from an annual flush in this region more than almost anywhere else, because our water leaves sediment on the bottom of the tank where the heat has to pass through it.

  • Wipes should not go down any drain, whether the packet says flushable or not. They do not break down, and they are behind a large share of the main line blockages we clear.

  • The cheapest plumbing is the kind that gets looked at before it fails. An annual walk of the visible plumbing, checking under sinks, around the water heater and at any exposed pipe, catches most problems while they are still small and dry.

Who you are calling

We run a genuine 24-hour line rather than an answering service that takes a message until the morning.

More about the family

A lot of our work comes from customers we have had for decades, and from the people they send us. That is essentially the whole marketing strategy and it has held up for forty-four years.

We are licensed across plumbing, sanitation and general engineering, which reflects the range of work this region actually needs.

Forty-four years in the same valley means we have almost certainly fixed this exact thing for somebody down the street from you.

Questions we get about emergency plumbing

If yours is not here, call and ask. We would rather talk it through than have you guess.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything actively causing damage or making the property unusable: water through a ceiling, sewage backing up, a gas smell, a line you cannot shut off, or no water at all.

What should I do before you arrive?

Shut off the water at the main if it is a leak. If you smell gas, leave the building and call from outside. We will walk you through it on the phone.

Do you charge more at night?

Call and ask and we will be straight with you about what the visit involves. You get the number before we start.

How fast can you get here?

It depends where you are in our service area and what else is running. We will give you a real window on the phone rather than a guess.

Do you guarantee your work?

We stand behind what we do. If something we repaired is not right, call us and we will come back and deal with it.

Do I need to be home?

Usually yes, or somebody who can make decisions about the work. We will not authorize additional work ourselves without talking to you.

Do you pull permits?

Where the work requires them, yes. Permits and inspections are handled as part of the job rather than left to the customer.

Can you handle septic as well as plumbing?

Yes, and it is a big part of what we do. We are licensed for sanitation systems, so tanks, leach lines and the plumbing that feeds them are all one contractor.

How this fits the rest of the system

The age of a house predicts its plumbing problems better than almost anything else. Pre-1970 construction here typically means cast iron drainage and galvanized supply, both of which fail in known ways on a known timeline. Housing from the 1970s through the 1990s is usually copper supply on a slab, which brings its own pattern. Knowing when a house was built tells us what to look at first.

Before we come out

If you have used chemical drain products, tell us. It changes how we open the line and it matters for the technician's safety.

Being able to actually send somebody matters more than being the closest shop on a map, and covering this much ground is how we make sure there is usually a truck that can get to you.
